Especially for you!

I know I have to be patient. But most of you will recognize the feeling of starting something and wanting it all instantly! A lot of money and fame with Kekke Koters preferably :-)

Starting up a business is a lot of fun. But when you start from scratch and you have to do all by yourselve it means working your ass of to achieve anything. I have to say I have always worked hard but it is the most fun if you do it all for yourselve. If you are thinking about starting something for your own daily I strongly suggest to go ahead and try! Unless you have the need of a lot of money to start up your business just DO IT! Dont wait to long. If its in anyway possible to implement it in your live, maybe by combining it with your regular day job, go for it.

Little shops need at least 3 to 5 years to settle. Every week you are not starting is one lost. Kekke Koters has recently celebrated (very quietly) there first aniversary. Great moment to look over what still has to be accomplished but mostly at what has been done and realized already.

I have to say this has put my feet back in the ground. I found myself complaining about sales and all the things I want for Kekke Koters but I do not have the money for. Looking back and making the balance for the first year I can proudly say we are in no position to complain at all. We are doing well and progressing every month. Have learnt a lot about what NOT TO DO in the last year. Which actually is very good. (unless this is costing you a fortune obviously :-) For example we have tried out a lot of lifestyle events and local markets. This was very very usefull to to in the first year. I know now where to go and not to go.

Every step I make is a learning experience. And it makes me proud that Im doing it all on my own. Well I have to be honoust. Im surrounded by people who make it possible for me to do what I love. And I love them for that! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Summer in the air!

The season has started again! The creative markets, fairs and exhibitions are the most fun in the sun. Last Sunday Kekke Koters attended one of her favorites in Utrecht. The 'Zelfgemaakte Markt' at the Mariaplaats.

Absolutely adore this market. To start with it is organized by a fun lady Ms Sanne Bloem. Its the combination of many factors that makes this the best. Its relativaly small which makes it unique. Sanne is strict in her selection. Only the most creative shops find their way to Utrecht. The square on which it is being held 'Mariaplaats' is adorable. Beautifull trees surrounded by nice shops, restaurants and terasses.
