We gaan uitbreiden! / Were expanding!
Jaaa, we gaan het ECHT doen! We gaan uitbreiden. Nee, daar is geen aannemer voor nodig hoor :-) We gaan uitbreiden in maten.
De collectie die we voor dit na-jaar en de winter ontwerpen zullen we laten doorlopen tot maat 134! We hebben inmiddels al vaak verzoeken binnen gekregen voor net 1 of 2 maten groter. Daarom hebben we besloten om het gewoon te gaan doen.
Voor de creatieve, lifestyle events zullen we geen grote voorraad bij hebben in deze maat, maar zoals altijd, kan er besteld worden. Wij maken het kledingstuk dan met liefde voor je. We streven ernaar een kledingstuk dat niet op voorraad is binnen 1 week te leveren. We hopen hiermee een aantal (vnl) meisjes heel blij te maken!
"Yesss, we are REALLY going to do it! We are expanding. And "no" we do not need a contracter to do so. We will be expanding in sizes.
We have received many requests for mainly dresses the last year in 2 sizes up. The fall and winter collection therefor will be availabe from size 80 to 134.
For the creative, lifestyle events we will not have a big stock for these sizes. But it can always be ordered. We will make you the ordered item with love. We always try to deliver any item thats not in stock within a week. We hope this news makes a couple of girls very happy!"

Totem Horse Happinez
5 jr wonen we al in Leiden. En nog steeds woon ik in een 'goede basis'! Ja, jakkie zeg! Dat klinkt niet echt heel spannend, leuk of gezellig. En dat is het ook niet.
En als je dan de fatale 'fout' maakt om bij Maureen van Djello op de koffie te gaan ben je helemaal sip als je thuis keert in je 'goede basis'. Maureen woont slechts 3 maanden in haar nieuwe stulpje en heeft het nu al om weten te toveren in een warm nest. Gezellige hoekjes en grapjes. Neem een kijkje op haar creatieve blog. Ook deelt ze daar leuke hoekjes van haar gezellige huis.
Ik heb eens gek gedaan en een aantal mooie, creatieve decoraties in haar shop bestelt. Waaronder deze gave Totem Horse. De kleuren en vormen vormen gelijk weer inspiratie voor nieuwe jurkjes :)

Last week I was invited for coffee by Maureen who runs a creative webshop. In only 3 months she has managed to turned her house into a warm nest. Full of cosy corners and fun elements. She shows small parts of her great house on her blog.
Ive gone mad :) and ordered some of her lovely creative decorations. One of them is this wonderful Totem Horse. The colours are instant inspiration for new dresses. I love it."

Etsy en Dawanda
Alsof we het nog niet druk genoeg hadden hebben wij onlangs onze Etsy shop geopend! En ook zijn we bezig met een Dawanda shop. We hopen op die manier nog meer mensen te bereiken. De eerste reacties op Etsy waren erg leuk. Ook handig je kunt met Paypal betalen op deze websites. Sommige van onze nederlandse klanten vinden dat ook prettig.

Inspiration
sometimes come at the strangest moments and places. Im happy we are not a regular brand with seasonal deadlines. It would most probably kill my creativity completely if I had to come up with a complete collection at a set moment everytime again. No, it makes me happy to make what I like and what I want at the moment the inspiration comes to me.

Where do I get my inspiration? Well from loads of things I can say honoustly. Sometimes I see a building with a certain structure which inspires me to make a fun skirt with the same movement. It can be just a colour or a conversation. A kid with a dress that is uncomfortable. I have been teaching myself to make an instant drawing (if possible) immediatly. Sadly by not doing so in the past Im pretty sure I have forgotten a couple of great ideas.
Inspiration can also come from a very obvious place. Fashion! Lately I have been inspired greatly by the retro mod dresses scene which has been booming for a while already. (Mod is the style of being modern or up-to-date in fashion and culture.) Im in love with retro fifties, sixties and seventies dresses. I see other designers being inspired by it as well.
A couple of weeks ago I ordered this dress from Thongbai Tatong. A comfortable tricot dress in retro, sixties mod style. What a great dress. I simply could not resist and I downsized the model for the little girlies. With an up to date fabric for girls from now ofcourse. I adore this little dress. Little girlies welcome to the sixties. You can be retro now as well :-)
